little buddy is pulling up on anything he can. he's turning into a big buddy - *sniff sniff* :(
i apologize again for the lack of recent pictures. brian says i'm like a high school girl wanting to hang out with my girlfriends all the time. i'm loving it, but the camera and blog are being neglected. i pledge to make an effort to take my camera along on more outings for more photo opportunities. ;)

oh, the smudge, brian says dan put that there with his finger the first day ... i don't know, i haven't heard dan's side of the story, so i can't place blame...lol, enjoy :)

estin skiing

i've been waiting for brian to upload some of the video footage of estin's first ski trip so i can put it on you tube, but he's been busy with google texting, lol. thanks kari for getting us hooked on texting! so when curran and i were in hawaii - brian, estin, and dade went to colorado with boppo ron, grandma barb, uncle booney, and aunt julie for some fun skiing. estin was completely outfitted in little person ski clothes and gear. i asked him if he thought it was hard to walk in the ski boots and he said, "well, i couldn't run in them, but i could walk with little baby steps." so brian was telling me about how they took estin skiing down the mountain. boppo ron and brian went pretty slow, made nice easy turns, and stopped without endangering my first born's life. then uncle booney (who btw, was estin's favorite person to ski with he says) would pretty much just fly down the runs - no stopping, no turning, estin helped by saying - don't run into those trees, don't run into those people!! just wait, the video will make this story better, i'll add it soon... so a snippet of our conversation following this story...

brian: booney never turns or slows down on green runs, not even as a kid...
me: well if that's how estin's learning to ski, is that how he'll ski on his own?
brian: no, estin's too cautious. (he points at dade) that one will ski like booney!
dade: (big smile) yeaaaaah!

this is what we came home to!! it wasn't that big of a deal to bri and the big boys because they came from colorado, but i wasn't too excited about it after spending a pretty rainy week in hawaii... but it is nice to get a good amount of snow to play in - reminds me and brian of the good ol' days growing up in fargo. :)

totally classic photos, right? i know i've seen pics just like these in my mom's photo albums of me and my sistas. believe it or not, we do not have a single scarf in our house (yes, i do call myself a knitter). so we put a playsilk on him and he's - SUPER-snowman! ;)

hey katie and kari - remember the igloo dad built for us that one year?? that was so awesome.
