state bird of minnesota - the loon. there was a little loon family on big mcdonald lake - mom, dad, and two babies. very cute. and interesting birds too - loony facts :)

estin spotted this eagle out of great-grandma barb's window on this rainy/windy day. we watched him enjoy a meal and then i tip-toed next door to get my camera, but he flew away right after i took this pic. i wish i could've gotten a little closer!

curran = a little unsure about playing outside in the rain...
