i have a confession and a funny estin story. first the confession - i've been spying on my blog visitors... yep, i'm tracking you! hehe, so i know exactly who checks obsessively several times a day, lol, just kidding of course. anyway, i thought it'd be fun to try out the little poll dealio - so go ahead and vote on how you know me and my crazy family. :)
now the story - so the city is detouring traffic through our cozy, quiet neighborhood and it's kind of a pain. luckily the detour doesn't go down our street, but we live on a corner and the traffic does go down the other street. well our neighbor called the city to get a sign up to slow the traffic down in front of her house. they came out and put the strips down to track traffic to see how fast people were going. they told her they'd need to get evidence of people going over 30mph before putting up a sign. knowing this, she flew over the strips a few times going over 40mph, lol! they came back and totally lied and said the highest they got was 28mph - she didn't tell them she knew better! anyway, they did put up a sign, but so far it doesn't seem to be slowing people down. ok, so brian and i were talking about the signs and how we should look into getting one of those "slow - children playing" signs in front of our house. we were just pulling out of our driveway and oops! we ran over estin's little bike. so estin joins the conversation and says "maybe we should get a sign that says - don't run over any bikes!!"
